Welcome to the 'Biketrackday' website. If you are
wanting to chat to likeminded folk about anything to do with motorbikes and
in particular ... TRACKDAYS ... then you are in the right place!
Biketrackday.co.uk is
all about getting people together to enjoy the fun and excitement of riding
motorbikes around mainly UK but also some European circuits.
The main body of
information is the FORUM which can be accessed by clicking on the button on
the top left of the screen. The 'Throttlemonkey' Forum is free to join. Just take a couple of
minutes to register and then have a look at the different sections. You can
browse the forum as a 'guest' without registering but certain sections (such
as members discounts and most of the gallery sections/pictures) can only be accessed by registered members.
The forum was
launched in January 2005 by a few friends who had started doing trackdays
together shortly before that. The forum now has over 1,1000
registered members, a lot of whom found the site by word of mouth!
The aim
of the Throttlemonkey forum was/is primarily to make it easier for people to
meet up for trackdays and bike events, to keep in touch and share the
photos, stories and banter afterwards. We also strive to get the best
possible deals on trackday prices and motorbike accessories to try and keep
the expense down as much as possible . The more members we get using the
site, the more effective we will be at this - so come and join in!
If you are looking
at doing your first trackday then register on the forum and take a look at
the 'Trackdays' section. There is some excellent information telling you how
to prepare, what to take and what to expect.
Once you are happy with that
check the calendar to find a trackday venue and date that suits you,
see who else is going and then check out pricing in the members
section. You book direct with the organisor and then meet up with other
members at the track. The more people you can share the day with, the more
fun you will have and the more you will relax.
If you are a
seasoned track day addict or racer then come join the fun! For 2008 we have
loads of UK 'Throttlemonkey' trackdays already booked by our
members and a few of our regulars off to Spain to sample European trackdays.
We have quite a few members who are racing
(or planning to race) this season with Derby
Phoenix, EMRA, Hottrax Endurance (to name a few series) who are always glad to offer any advice or help to fellow
racers and trackdayers. They are also really glad of the support if people
can get along to cheer them on.
Click on the 'Random
Pictures' directly to the left to see the full sized picture. You can see
this and MANY more in the gallery. We have thousands of pictures now and more
being added every day. Remember to register (it's free and forum/gallery
membership are the same so you only need do it once) so you can see all of
the different sections. We will be changing the picture - so add
one or two of yourself to the gallery and keep an eye to see if they end up
on here.
So ... what are you
waiting for?! Check out the forum and other links.
****We now have a busy new OFFROAD section called Muddymonkeys. We are very
proud that Muddymonkeys is the first Trail Riders Federation (TRF) Internet
Group - so if you want to ride the legal lanes or take part in offroad
events this is the place to be! **** |

'Throttlemonkeyfest'!
Donington Park,
August 2005. Our first one and over 35 members enjoyed the trackday and many stayed over for
bbq and beers that night!

We did the same in
2006 and 2007 and saw numbers increase dramatically each time!
