This is a
copy of the forum rules which all new members registering with the
Throttlemonkey Forum confirm their acceptance of when completing their
registration. It is easy to glance over rules, or just tick boxes without
reading things - like rules or terms and conditions. With that in mind we are
making the Throttlemonkey Forum rules more easily accessible to all of our
members.
We have
always let the forum run as a very friendly and relaxed place, and for that we
are in debt to the way our members conduct themselves. We want this to be the
way the forum continues, so with the rules in mind please help our forum
maintain the friendly, relaxed, helpful and funny place it has become since
starting in January 2005.
****VERY
IMPORTANT ****
New members do not instantly qualify for 'Members Discounts', nor can they use
the personal message, email or search facilities until they have made FIVE
posts.
Once new members have made FIVE posts they automatically qualify for FULL forum
and discount rights.
Posts in the 'newbie' section do not count to your total post count, so please
make some posts in the general forums.
Thankyou - and we look forward to swapping posts with you on the forum soon, and
then hopefully meeting you on a trackday.

Please take a moment to
review these rules detailed below.
If you agree with them and

Please remember that we are not responsible for any messages posted. We do not
vouch for or warrant the accuracy, completeness or usefulness of any message,
and are not responsible for the contents of any message.
The messages express the views of the author of the message, not necessarily the
views of this bulletin board. Any user who feels that a posted message is
objectionable is encouraged to contact us immediately by email. We have the
ability to remove objectionable messages and we will make every effort to do so,
within a reasonable time frame, if we determine that removal is necessary.
You agree, through your use of this service, that you will not use this bulletin
board to post any material which is knowingly false and/or defamatory,
inaccurate, abusive, vulgar, hateful, harassing, obscene, profane, sexually
oriented, threatening, invasive of a person's privacy, or otherwise violative of
any law.
You agree not to post any copyrighted material unless the copyright is owned by
you or by this bulletin board.
The Throttlemonkey Forum was started in January 2005 as a trackday/ motorcycle
forum with the ideal that likeminded people would share friendly banter with
other members about trackdays, motorcycles and related topics, and hopefully
meet up at circuits and enjoy the trackday craic. Please only complete your
registration if you are happy with this.
If your intention is to sell goods over the site then please email admin/ mods
before doing so. We are not a selling site and will delete threads for sale
items where people are not playing an active role in the forum.
We are a ‘small’ forum growing steadily and want members, old and new to be
involved in a friendly and helpful environment so they feel happy to recommend
us to their friends and other likeminded people. In order to ensure this is the
case we will not tolerate any behaviour from any member(s) that disrupts the
forum.
Examples of this are noted above, but in addition, we feel it best to
outline that admin and mods will ban on a temporary or permanent basis members if they deliberately incite
arguments for personal gratification, do not abide by the forum rules, make
threats or abuse other members in any way, promote sexual or religious persecution or
hatred or take action that is deemed by the admin/ moderators to bring the site
into disrepute. Where a decision is taken by admin/ mods it is final and
should (please) be respected.
We will only ban members as a
VERY last resort. But, once a member has been banned that is permanent and will
not be lifted. If we find out that banned members have created new accounts with
different details those accounts will be deleted. On this basis we would ask
that members do not activate more than one account. Whilst it is common practice
on some forums to have numerous accounts/ identities we ask that this is not
done on this/these forums. Any found will be deleted.
These rules are subject to
change without notification so please check them regularly. If you do not agree
with them in any way you can choose to not use the forum.
