The 'Throttlemonkey' site was started in 2003 by three mates (Kingy, Flamin Bill and Bobalong) who shared a common interest in hooning around UK circuits on track bikes. The website was used to share these escapades and act as a point of contact for friends and people we met at trackdays.

The Throttlemonkey Forum was launched in January 2005 with the help of people we had enjoyed many trackdays and much banter with. There is a link to take you there further down the page and then links at the bottom of each page of the website.

Yes - That is Chris Walker WSB God being photographed with his Throttlemonkey teeshirt. Thanks to Crich for taking the photo.

After our first season of trackdays in 2003 the three of us knew that we were totally hooked and joked about starting our own 'trackday team' for a bit of fun. We had a logo designed by a mate (Robin Brown) from rough sketches and ideas shared in the pub. We promised to pay him in beer and he was a very happy man. With the logo and team motto sorted (see top of page for the main logo and the bottom of the page for the 'cheeky monkey' logo), we decided on team colours which were red and black with white number boards - similar to the Yoshimura Suzuki Endurance Colours. We bought paint and new fairings and Bill sprayed them up. Its fair to say we were (and still are) fairly easy to spot in the paddock!

Once the Throttlemonkley forum had started running in 2005 more likeminded people joined us on both the forum and trackdays. Heres a photo of a few of us at Cadwell Park between sessions. We got some (not all) of the monkeys there on the day to stand still long enough to get a picture!

Left to right ... Jon, Jagsti, Biggles, Burrner, Old Yella, Kingy, Royal Biker, Flamin Bill. TL Anorak and Grasshopper.

If you have a look around the site we have listed the trackdays we have booked for the rest of the year on the 'Events Booked' page. The 'Links' page has links to lots of sites (many bike orientated) and the 'Pictures' page has photos of Throttlemonkey bikes and members.

Click on the oval Monkey logo (at the top of each page) or the red Throttlemonkey banner (at the bottom of each page) to get straight through to the forum. Its free to register and at last count had over 600 members who all share an interest in all things bike! There is also a gallery and a 'members discount' section - most of which can only be seen once you have joined the site.
